Zero Point

Sediments Festival
Zero Point is an attempt to approach text from a spatial point of view. The basis for the work is a text that combines conventional drama, known from stage and screen, with bits of poetry. It deals with questions of self-translation and multilingualism. The material — different languages, spaces, periods, pages and words — form their own entities which begin to dissolve into each other. This peculiar spatial arrangement of text is also the focus of the work in progress: how does text take to the stage? And what are the advantages of exploring this in a horizontal workspace?
“Nollapiste (engl. Zero Point) deals with central dramaturgical questions: What makes a text a script and eventually a play? How to transfer text into space through movement, light, etc.? We are really excited to see and discuss the different angles this piece opens up and search for sedimentations that are not necessarily vertical.”
