Plus d’un théâtre. Potentialitäten eines eingreifenden Denkens
An artistic-scientific symposium

On February 6th and 7th, the symposium “Plus d’un théâtre” will discuss the potentialities – possibilities, strengths, imponderables, hopes – of theater and performance in an interdisciplinary form.

Theater is understood as an “intervening” practice that is always already entangled in theory. There will be lectures on Thursday, February 6th, starting in the late afternoon, as well as the performance “Magda Toffler. Versuch über das Schweigen” by Boris Nikitin at 7:30 p.m., which will be shown before a joint dinner. The symposium will continue the following day, February 7th, from 9 a.m. until the late afternoon.
The symposium also celebrates the 60th birthday of professor Nikolaus Müller-Schöll and his work. Together with friends and colleagues from the scientific and theater community, who have accompanied Nikolaus Müller-Schöll in recent years, his anniversary will be celebrated on Thursday evening.

The program:
Thursday, February 6th, from 5 p.m.: Opening, critical laudation by Ulrike Haß, performance by Boris Nikitin, followed by dinner/celebration
Friday, February 7th, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Symposium with Claudia Bosse, Martina Groß, Günther Heeg, Rembert Hüser, Judith Kasper, Liz Kohlhaas, Krassimira Kruschkova, André Schallenberg, Gerald Siegmund

Concept and organization: Fanti Baum, Inga Bendukat, Eva Döhne, Leon Gabriel, Paul Koloseus, Sophie Osburg, Bernhard Siebert, Julia Schade, Marten Weise
“Plus d’un théâtre” is funded by the Hessische Theaterakademie (HTA) and the Ruhr Universität Bochum (RUB).
