What’s the connection between a monkey mask, a musical saw and skating? What do Audre Lorde and John Cage have in common? Who is relatively young, has a big heart, and bones like a bird? And how do you organise your books? Not by size, do you? This piece is Carlos Franke’s very personal attempt to organise not just books, but life itself.

„Bestecksprache“ reflects on a topic everyone is familiar with: food. There will be live cooking and the audience is invited to a restaurant/kitchen atmosphere.

7.30 pm: "Water, Baby!"
Taking Astrida Neimanis' text "Bodies of Water" as a starting point, Lara Epp, Katerina Kalantranaki, Charlotte Pfingsten and Nuria Zechlin got together this past summer to research the fluidity of their bodies, took a dive into the phenomenology of being-connected through water. The result is a performative installation, an "underwater cave", in which they have created an immersive and meditative experience, through soundscapes, video art and projections. Charlotte Pfingsten and Nuria Zechlin will invite you to try scores, feel the water or just have a moment of experiencing oneselves.
Concept: Lara Epp, Katerina Kalantranaki, Charlotte Pfingsten, Nuria Zechlin
Creation as part of the scenic project with Yotam Gotal (summer semester 2024, J.W.-Goethe University / HTA).
Language: No language skills necessary
Nuria and Charlotte will be present throughout the installation and available at any time for discussion, questions, and thoughts.*
8.00 pm: "Moving Through Imperfect Time"
Is time created in our bodies or somewhere else? At the intersection between body, time and perception "Moving Through Imperfect Time" looks into the possibilites to describe and experience movement, in a society in which time is mostly seen as being linear. We will bring personal feelings, integrated audio-description and the audience together, to discover changes in the way we describe ourselves and others.

Boxing time. A performance on performance – on time as a commodity, pre-rendered timeframes and the pain and beauty of being-together. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Time. Times. Times. Times. Times. Times. Time. Times. Times. Times. Times. Emits. Items.
