Dance Performance for ages 12 and up
Hennermanns Horde
Fathers are at the center of this dance production. While social discourse usually focuses on the role of the mother, the concept of fatherhood often exists in a gap, defined by absence, work behavior, or authority. The piece identifies this gap, questions it and contrasts it with new models of fatherhood. Images are created that speak to its young audience and examine the dance form of hip-hop, with its ritualized show of masculinity.
