F°LAB Festival Warm-up: AFTERNOON TEA & KAFFEE UND KUCHEN
(Trennungssongs of Togetherness)
Join Tedious Work online for up to four Sundays of Afternoon Tea and Kaffee und Kuchen.
No need to plan, no need to prepare, no need to be in the mood for art, just come along and join us for a few minutes. Bring your friends, bring your grandparents, bring your kids, everyone is welcome to AFTERNOON TEA & KAFFEE UND KUCHEN.
On the four Sundays in June we happily make un-musical music together, while we share our cultural afternoon ritual. At 16 Uhr German time and 3 pm British time there will be physical online art for a new collective “in between” experience.
You might even get a little gift or at least a loan. Perhaps we’ll send you a penny whistle in the post and ask you to bring it next week, maybe you’ll get your own personalised ring tone sent directly to your inbox. Who knows?
Tedious Work imagine they are a band in the middle of a world tour. They imagine they are getting tired of playing their debut album TRENNUNGSSONGS OF TOGETHERNESS for person after person after person.
The inevitable shift is under way. Audiences can witness how they update their old material, trying to breathe new life into it and covertly sneak in new songs, but always in such a way that it doesn’t stop the audience from singing along.
Tedious Work are on the cusp, a second-year slump, wading in the murk before a new album must inevitably be played, in full, and without an encore.
Tedious Work invite you to look at the world, in the same way as always and see something different. Tedious Work are you and Paul Norman and Leander Ripchinsky.
