The dance department of the HfMDK has been presenting attractive and ambitious shows at Mousonturm every year since 2003 and is now, for the third time, attracting dance enthusiasts to the Frankfurt LAB who are ready to be infected by the young dancers’ unbridled love of movement and joy of experimentation. The show provides insights into very different choreographic approaches, working methods and styles. It features new choreographies by Simon Mayer and Anton Valdbauer (alumnus of the Dance Department), who have developed specific artistic projects with BAtanz students for the very first time, as well as a new piece by Sada Mamedova (alumna of the Dance Department), excerpts from “Exhausting Space” by Iván Pérez and “Revisiting concepts and materials from N.N.N.N. (William Forsythe)” by Cyril Baldy. By working with different choreographers, the students have the opportunity to playfully explore the numerous facets of their artistic creative abilities – dynamic, precise, attentive, captivating, bold!
